20 years oldĀ
Representing Somalia

I am a 20 year old strong East African woman who is very proud of her heritage. I am ambitious, fun loving and motivated. Despite living in Britain I embrace my roots and I am proud to be called an African. I want to show the rest of the world that even through war, famine and all the heartache that we went through we are still happy and humble. I want to be an inspiration to all the young women in the world, because I believe that every woman is beautiful inside. From a young age I’ve been interested in the world of fashion. Modelling has always been my dream and passion, I follow in the footsteps of Iman and Eva Pigford who have already set up platform and opened the door for upcoming black models. I want to sponsor hospitals for those suffering from diseases due to bad environment and war. I want to help re-build schools in order to provide good education to the great minds of future and also re-build shelters for the poor and homeless people. It would be a dream come true because I want to make Africa Proud. Winning this competition will give me the opportunity to be at the forefront of fashion and enable me to be a goodwill ambassador and help me contribute more to the people in need including Somalia and the rest of Africa, it will give me something positive to give back to my motherland.
